March 31st is the last day to pay your 2023 real property taxes and your 2024 personal property taxes in the Macon County Trustee’s Office. On April 1st, 2025 these taxes will go to the Clerk and Master. Call 615-666-3624 with any questions.

The Allen County League of Artists and Craftsmen will have their 39th Annual Craft Show at the Scottsville High School Athletic Complex Saturday at 9am.

March 30th is the date for The Titan, presented by FMF, at 3155 Rocky Mound Rd, Westmoreland. There’s Micro, Youth & Adult divisions in Bikes & Quads. All proceeds go to Hagan Matthew Hix Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Red Boiling Springs Branch Library at 335 East Main Street will have a Book Signing with Macon County author of science fiction and sweet romance Elizabeth J. Smith, Saturday from 10am – 1pm.

Lafayette United Methodist Church has a Church Yard Sale in progress and going through Saturday starting at 8am each day.

Akersville Cemetery Cleaning with be Saturday at 9am weather permitting. In the case of rain it will be held the following Saturday.

Beloved former Pastor Elder Don Curtis will preach at Maple Grove #2 Missionary Baptist Church, Sunday at 11am. A potluck will follow the services and a singing featuring the Sneed Family will follow the potluck at 2pm. Everyone is invited to attend.

Spring Revival will begin Thursday at Lafayette Missionary Baptist Church. Bro Marty Meador will assist Pastor Bro. Benji Blackwell. (Edit 4/3)
